Krka Waterfalls

Krka NP is one of the most beautiful national parks in Croatia. It is located in Central Dalmatia (Šibenik-Knin county), 80 km ride from Split, where it spreads on over 109 km2

Krka river has 7 travertine barriers and its beauty represents natural karst phenomenon. It is a spacious, largely unchanged region of exceptional natural value, and includes one or more preserved or insignificantly altered ecosystems.

THINGS TO SEE at Krka National Park:

Here is the list of lovely places to see during your visit to the park. Entrance fees are already included in Krka Park entry ticket.

Skradinski buk – You can swim and enjoy sun near the longest waterfall in the park. You should definitely walk around this waterfall to explore beautiful sights.

Below waterfall Skradinski buk, lies the first commercial hydroelectric power station in Europe. Jaruga Hydroelectric Power Plant is a second oldest hydroelectric power plant in the world, built on October 28th 1895., only 3 days after the famous Niagara Falls Power Plant.

Ethno museum – visit this interesting place in the pause between swimming and having fun and learn more about Croatian culture, food, traditional clothes and much more.

Old watermill – used to be essential to the local residents. Nowadays one of the Krka beauties where you can take lots of alluring photos.

Vidikovac – spring, summer or autumn colors are best seen from the lovely balcony of this little viewpoint where you can enjoy breathtaking view and take some beautiful photos

WHERE TO EAT at Krka National Park:

No need to worry about food, there are several restaurants in the NP. There you can enjoy your meal with a lovely view.

You can also bring your own food and have a picnic in the park.

TOILETS/WATER at Krka National Park:

There are 2 public, free to use toilets in the park as well as a little water fountain where you can refresh yourself and recharge your bottle with fresh spring water.

Bring your hat, sunglasses, suncream, camera, water, swimsuit, towel, comfortable walking shoes and additional clothes
